Fireworks

Summer is upon us!   We welcome the warm weather to help celebrate our traditions of BBQ’s, parades and fireworks.

With Independence Day right around the corner it’s a great time to remind ourselves of the danger of fireworks.  Many, many injuries and some deaths even occur each year when using fireworks.

Exercise extreme caution both with firecrackers and sparklers.  Although these smaller types are relatively safe when used properly, many children (and adults) visit the ER each year around the 4th of July holiday to treat burns due to misuse.  Be sure to always have adult supervision on hand too.

Larger fireworks that are used in professional displays should not be handled by regular consumers.  The risk of potential hazards is too great!
